CHEZ ANYA | Toasts Français!

So French Toast is one of my many favourite breakfast meals! And since I am now living away from home and had to learn how to make my own, I want to share how to make these meals with my amazing audience! Cooking for a single person can seem hard and tedious, even when you change the yield proportion for one serving, you get weird fractions and odd numbers –_- So hopefully these tried and true recipes will help make your meals more fun, and most importantly, SATISFYING! This is my first recipe post so please forgive the lack of photos :( As soon as I can get a good camera, you will have much more visuals to enjoy!
Ingredients! You will need: 1 Egg, 1/5 Cup of Milk, 2 Slices of Bread, and Cinnamon Spice!
So it’s a pretty easy recipe to follow! First you whisk the egg and the milk together. Put the mixture in a flat dish. Heat a pan on medium-low heat, and melt butter. Once the butter is melted, and sizzles when you add water you can start the process of making the French Toast! Then you a bread slice dip each side in the mixture for around 10-15 seconds, sprinkle on your preference of cinnamon, and fry each side on medium heat until it is golden brown. Do this to both slices of the bread, serve with maple syrup and some fruits and your done! Optional: you can sift on some confectioner’s sugar. Personally I think the syrup makes it sweet enough :b

And there you have it! Quick and easy French Toast! I hope you enjoyed this post! Try it out and let me know if you liked it, and whether or not you have any suggestions! All constructive criticism is welcome! Hugs and cheers, till next time, Anya <3 :)

SWEET TREAT SUNDAY | Waffles & Hot Cocoa

As much as I am trying to eat healthy and home made foods more often, I have to treat myself every once in a while :b I have to give myself some credit though! Since the beginning of this school year I have DRASTICALLY cut down on the amount of restaurant food I consume! So this Sunday I decided to meet up with a friend whom I hadn’t seen in a while at this cute little gelato cafe! And although the gelato looked like creamy, heavenly deliciousness, due to this nasty cold (which doesn’t seem to want to leave me -_-) I had to stick with warm treats on this chilly Sunday afternoon. No bother however, because man, did the items I order do justice to their looks!

I began with this delicious Belgium waffle with fresh whipped cream and nutella sprinkled all over it, yummm <3 You could taste the freshness of the entire dessert! Halfway through my devouring of this waffle I realized I still hadn’t received the hot chocolate I had ordered :( Thankfully a kind waitress saw my distressed look and not only brought my hot chocolate over, but also gave me a free gelato voucher, HURRAY! Me and my friend managed to find a nice window seat at this time and the amazing, made from scratch hot chocolate, plus the nice company and great atmosphere made for a trip worth while! I definitely want to explore more of the coffee scene in this serene city! I have run for now, but until my next update, Arrivederci! Hugs and cheers, Anya <3
