BEAUTY DIY | Green Tea Bath

Green tea baths became popular thanks to the legendary Yang Gui Fei or Lady Yang of the Tang dynasty of ancient China. She was the favourite concubine of the emperor, Tang Ming Huang, and the secret to her beauty was said to be her frequent dips in tea baths. To this day woman, especially of Japan, have been using green tea baths for it’s various benefits.
It’s been quite a stressful month for me. I have summer school, I’m still looking for a job, and there seems to be constant work to be done in and around the house. This has left me battered, bruised, and literally scarred (rose bushes are pretty, but they’re killer to deal with)!
Green tea baths are famous for their healing and rejuvenating qualities. They are said to detoxify the skin, delay skin cell aging, heal sores and sounds, soothe and heal stressed skin, firm and balance skin tone, treat and prevent acne, and so much more! Obviously with this many benefits I thought right now was the best time to try this out :b

What you need? Bagged green tea and a tub! Pretty much all you have to do is fill a tub 3/4's with hot water. Then you drop in 5-8 tea bags and let them swirl around and soak in the water. Once the water has reached your desired temperature just remove the tea bags and submerge yourself in blissful heaven <3
I kid you not, this bath was the most relaxing thing I’ve experienced in a while. Add in a few candles, some music and good book and you have got yourself a spa right at home! I hope you guys enjoy this easy DIY, try it out and let me know if it works for you! I’m off to write a case study but I’ll try to be back soon :) Till next time, hugs and cheers, Anya <3
